Customer self-onboarding available for content migrations
The new migration experience will be the default experience for all commercial content migrations effective February 15, 2021.

Summary

The New Migration Experience will be the default experience for all commercial content migrations on February 15th, 2021. This includes Box, DropBox, Google Drive and File Share migrations. Existing Customers that are currently onboarding will continue to work with their assigned MVM through velocity Migration.

All assigned MVMs will disengage from content migration customers on Friday February 26th, 2021.

This change does not apply to GCC/GCC-High/DOD.

Impact

No Migration Velocity Manager will be assigned to any commercial content migrations after Feb 12, 2021. There are no exceptions. Partner teams should direct their customers to the FastTrack portal once all content migration prerequisites have been configured and tested.

The MVM request is not needed after February 12, 2021 in the CRM/Dynamics tool.

Customer must:

  1. Visit the FastTrack Portal
  2. Login
  3. Consume the Learning center content
  4. Create their project card
    1. Customer will receive an email with instructions on how to engage the MST to finalize the creation of their migration project.
    2. FastTrack Migration team will not be able to execute customer events until the project creation is finalized
  5. Customer will receive an email from MST that their environment is ready to proceed for content Migration. This applies to (Box, DropBox, Google Drive, and File Share)
  6. Fill out the Project card information. (Recipients, Credentials, etc.)
  7. Upload the required schedule file for their migration type
  8. Retrieve their BI credentials from their newly created Project card.
  9. Consume results on the Power BI Dashboard.

Action Required

Partners - If your customer will take advantage of the FastTrack Migration Benefit, ensure that the customer has completed all their prerequisites given their content migration type in preparation for velocity migration. Direct them to the FastTrack portal when they are ready to migrate.
