FastTrack Migrations Team pausing deployment of modern authentication for mail migrations

The FastTrack Migrations team will be pausing net new certificate authentication configurations for the foreseeable future due to two potential bugs that have been discovered in the Mailbox Replication Service (MRS).
The two potential bugs give the following errors:
  • "object not found" in Azure AD.
  • "Request Entity Too Large" while creating migration batch.
Read the blog post about the migrations change impacting commercial Exchange and Gmail customers for complete details.

If you have any questions regarding this change, please reach out to Manny Acevedo, manny.acevedo@microsoft.com.

FRP Operations Guide clarification: EDU 100% Rule

EDU paid seat disputes for workloads claimed at or over 100% active usage (AU) will be accepted for claimed workloads for milestones achieved after October 1st, 2020.
To verify that a milestone has been achieved, the FRP must view the historical active users (AU) data on the FRP Dashboard and use the AU snapshot from the month prior to the CPOR claim as the baseline.
  • The 15% milestone is considered achieved once the number of active users increases by 15% X the number of paid entitlements, as reported in the FRP Dashboard.
  • The 40% milestone is considered achieved once the number of active users increases by 40% X the number of paid entitlements, as reported in the FRP Dashboard.
Refer to the incentives knowledge article for complete guidance on dispute submission to earn incentives meeting this scenario.

Awareness: FRP documentation and communication updates

We are continuing to improve the navigation of FRP resources the Partner Hub.

Most of the FRP documentation has been moved to the same site as the Insights/Feedback Forum. This will provide partners easy-to-access organization and a robust Search tool. The Playbook will remain on https://partner-docs.microsoft.com.

Effective immediately: Formal program updates announced on Yammer will reference details in FRP News and Alerts blogs. Documentation will be referenced in the same portal.

If you have already accessed the Insights/Feedback Forum there is no further action needed.

If you have not yet logged in, you will be prompted to register with an invitation code first. Request your invitation code via FRPhelp@microsoft.com.

More details will be shared in the May Partner Success Calls: APJ | Americas | EMEA.

Webinar: Modern Microsoft 365 Apps Deployment and Servicing

Register today: Keeping devices up to date with the latest Office updates is the foundation that enables secure remote work. We are seeing a shift toward secure, remote work as a hybrid scenario, in which devices are sporadically connected in the corporate network and users are occasionally on site. By helping IT pros move to modern, cloud-based deployment, and update management practices, we enable organizations to advance the health of their environments without compromising IT control or adding extra costs, while increasing performance, reliability, and security. Partners have a significant role to play in this space. Recent and upcoming changes will provide additional tools and opportunities.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 Apps deployments with new tools and services.
  • Staying productive and secure on devices while remote/hybrid.
  • Benefits of moving to the Monthly Enterprise Channel, and the new cloud-based management features available in the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center.
If you are managing devices for your customers and working on Office deployment/servicing, this webinar is for you. Join Amesh Mansukhani (Principal Program Manager), Javier Carrillo (Senior Program Manager), and Darren Doyle (Senior Program Manager) from the Office engineering team to learn more about above-mentioned challenges.
