A Message from Patric Grimwood

Partners,

The charter for my team, Partner Community and Experience, is to simplify and improve the experience for partners in the FastTrack Ready Program. I am excited to share some of our ideas and plans for how we will do just that throughout FY22.

The team and I would like to thank you for participating in the August FRP Launch events: Americas/EMEA and Asia. We look forward to addressing your FY22 questions during this week’s regional Q&A sessions: Americas, Asia, and EMEA.

We will continue to:

  • Invest in refining the FRP Hub experience.
  • Update knowledge articles to make it easier to search and consume content.
  • Enhance FRP Academy to expand and refresh the library of learning modules.
  • Provide insight into FY22 priorities, such as the on-demand training from FastTrack Grow for FastTrack delivery teams.

We will continue to work with the M365 business to identify new programs, incentives, and training opportunities for partners; we will continue to curate and share this information as it becomes available. In the coming months, look for new and refreshed resources and programs on Viva, SCIM, and Windows 365.

We are eager to continue hearing your ideas via the Insights/Feedback Forum. We are committed to partner feedback and insights to shape where we focus, and how we prioritize our time and investments. We will be sending out the first FY22 partner feedback survey in November. This process was highly impactful in FY21, and we look forward to continuing the momentum this year.

The entire team is looking forward to continuing this journey with you.

Teams Phone System FTOP assignments reprocessed

We have reprocessed FTOP assignments for Teams Phone System submitted between October 1, 2020, and July 14, 2021. This is to ensure the new FTOP Teams Phone System workload assignments are retroactively applied.

Per the announcement, “There will be an update on July 14, 2021, to allow assignment of the Teams Phone System workload in FTOP. For partners who have previously claimed Team Phone System, those tenants will be processed after July 14, 2021, and will appear in FTOP.”

FRP User Assignments cleanup/removal complete

On July 28, 2021, the OSU Automation process was updated to remove FTOP partner user assignments when a partner organization disassociates with a tenant. Previously, this did not occur and FTOP tenants were left with partner FM/FEs assigned.

On August 25, 2021, we began removing the Partner FM/FE assignments for user accounts if the partner is no longer associated with the tenant. This is activity is now complete.

What to expect:

  • If there is at least one workload assigned to the partner the user accounts will not be removed.
  • If there are no workloads assigned to the partner the partner user accounts will be removed.
  • There are some cases where user accounts were added to the RM section. These will be removed.
  • The Partner Name on the Onboarding tab/RM section and the Partner Name on the Partner tab/RM section will not be modified.

FRP Dashboard update: New column on the Edge tab - PB MAU at Time of Claim

The column PB MAU at Time of Claim is now available on the Edge tab of the FRP Power BI Dashboard. By leveraging this field, partners may now estimate Edge PB MAU growth from time of claim.

Important:

  • Only tenants with approved claims will display in this view.
  • The new field is to be used for estimation purposes only. The data does not completely represent payment eligibility due to additional business logic applied with actual payments.
